Message from the President

August 2009

Greetings to all IILACE members and potential members.

The Executive Committee of IILACE is very happy with the program that has been put together for the 2009 IILACE Conference in Dublin from October 1 to October 3, 2009.

Please look at the program that is available on this website, under “Events”.

The website has been once again updated and I encourage you to take a look as you can find your fellow members’ contact information.  Links to all member organizations are available, as well as a full contact list in the members only section.  This will allow you to pick other people’s brains on the thorny issues of the day. 

We have been asked about a listserv.  We have had a listserv previously but it was not much used.  We will be discussing the listserv issue at the Annual General Meeting in Dublin on October 3.

As well I wanted to clarify that when you received your invoice, it said it covered the period to July 2009.  In fact, it covers the period up until December 31, 2009.  We were simply late in getting the invoices to you.  Thank you for your understanding in that regard.

In closing, I hope you will make every effort to come to Dublin in October.  I will look forward to welcoming you there!
